Topics include the Democratic Party at both the national and state levels, national and state political campaigns, and the presidential elections of 1968 and 1972. There is considerable material on Harris's quest for the presidency in 1972. In addition, there is material on LaDonna Harris, the senator's first wife and longtime Native American activist.
