Scope and Contents The Hatch Collection consists of three volumes that contain a history of all legislation introduced by the senator. Volume I covers the Seventy-third (1933-1935) through the Seventy-sixth Congress (1939-1941); volume II covers the Seventy-seventh (1941-1943) through the Seventy-ninth Congress (1945-1947); and volume III is devoted entirely to the Eightieth Congress (1947-1949).

John Stephen "Steve" Horn Collection

Scope and Contents This collection contains a 201-page photocopy of Stephen Horn's notes that were taken during meetings of a bipartisan Senate group working for passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Horn was a legislative assistant to Senator Thomas Kuchel, a member of this group. Others involved were Senators Hubert Humphrey and Jacob Javits as well as congressional staff, representatives from the Justice Department, and the Leadership Council on Civil Rights.
