Transcript – Full
Hello, I'm Senator John Kennedy, the Democratic nominee for the presidency. I ask the support of the people of Iowa. I've traveled all over that state and all over our country, and I believe that Iowa and the nation need the same thing, a new, strong, forward-looking national administration, an administration that will provide protection for Iowa agriculture, which has dropped almost 25 percent in the last eight years. And Mr. Nixon will continue the same policy of tying the support price not to parity, but to the market price, which is a prescription for disaster in Iowa agriculture. Protection for small business. We want to have education for our children, jobs for our people, medical care tied to Social Security for our older citizens. We need to build a strong Iowa and a strong America. I ask your help on Tuesday to do that.
