Transcript – Full

From Philadelphia, President Eisenhower answered the Kennedy-Johnson charges that America has accomplished nothing in the last eight years. So I am proud of you, proud of what you have done, and proud of what has been done by America. And let no one diminish your pride and confidence in yourselves or belittle these accomplishments. And never have Americans achieved so much in so short a time. Now, in glib political oratory, we have heard this progress called standing still. Now, if the great things you have done are standing still, then I say America needs more of it. Along with the President, all America is going for Nixon and Lange. Vote for them on November 8th. They understand what peace demands.
