TRANSCRIPTION: On the pocketbook issue of Texas Gary Hart and Walter Mondale see things differently. Gary Hart's idea is to create a federal consumption tax. You'd have to pay both a federal tax and the current six percent state sales tax on what you buy. Walter Mondale believes that average Americans who spend what they make on Necessities pay enough taxes and that those who make the most should pay the most fighting for the average American Mondale for president.
