TRANSCRIPTION: In ancient empires the poor and the sick languished in the streets reaching out to the privileged as they walk through the Shadows of the halls of power. This is not America. I hope if I'm presently. United States. Mr. Gorbachev comes to visit me. And we'll have country in which there are none people sleeping on the streets and the doorway. It's time this country re committed itself to one very basic principle. And that is a decent and affordable shelter. Add to be the birthright of every American. It's time to stand up for what America stands for Mike Dukakis for president.
