TRANSCRIPTION: We are in the final hours of a campaign that has been marked by more negatives more distortions and more deception than any other presidential contest in modern history. And the real losers in this media manipulated mud splattered campaign or the American people. You've been misled about the issue of crime about the question of patriotism and about who stands for a strong National Defense. You've seen a Republican Presidential nominee who sided with the polluters for the past eight years now trying to switch sides and run in the environment. You've seen a calculated effort to exploit fear and the flag to conceal an appeal to labels in short to lie to the American people. Whether those tactics will work is up to you. Our opponents are already proclaiming their Victory before a single vote is cast and counted. And their advisers are explaining and newspaper interviews how they cleverly Twisted the election and distorted the truth. But I sensed a different mood this week. As I've traveled to town meetings all across this nation. I've met people who know in their heart and in their conscience that we have to hold the making of the president and the presidency itself to a higher standard than whatever. It's possible to get away with because this campaign isn't just about the candidates. It's about people like Tracy Scamp them in Longview Texas. Whose parents are as proud of her grades in school is they're worried about how to pay for her tuition to college. It's about Ernie. Oh Black in McKeesport Pennsylvania
