Expansion of The Dingell-Johnson Fund: Urgent Call to Action

The National Committee for Expansion of the Dingell-Johnson Fund is urging Congressman James R. Jones to join Congressman John Breaux in sponsoring H.R. 2250, a bill that aims to expand recreational fisheries restoration and management activities. The bill proposes a 10 percent tax on certain fishing equipment and a 3 percent manufacturers tax on boating equipment and recreational boats under 25 feet. Many national recreational fisheries organizations and conservation groups support this initiative.
