Mrs. Philip W. Wood received a letter from Congressman James R. Jones inviting her husband Phil to an event, but he cannot attend due to a staff meeting. Mrs. Wood expresses regret that Phil cannot attend and mentions the possibility of someone else from Cities attending. She also includes a write-up of a lesson she has been teaching to first and second graders about the importance of participation from an early age. The letter ends with a note about seeing Congressman Jones on Friday.
