Mrs. Gladys Byrnes from Shreveport, Louisiana, is requesting a per capita distribution of funds belonging to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. The Commissioner of Indian Affairs is considering a "family plan" program for distributing a portion of each individual's share, with the remainder distributed in a per capita payment. Rep. Carl Albert is sympathetic to Mrs. Byrnes' desire for fair distribution and will continue to advocate for it.
